Unfortunately, Bowsette's obsession has somewhat faded recently, but a moderator has managed the impossible and brought the character to Breath of the Wild. Completed with a tortoiseshell shield, the character looks good at home in the panoramas and duels of Breath of the Wild.
Visually, you can definitely see the base of links under the mod, but it does a decent job of translating this phenomenon created by the fans into the game. The moder has even added some sartorial physics that has had mixed results. A full video, which you can see below, shows Bowsette, who looks very mean:
The mod is only available via PC emulation and, judging by the frame rate issues, is still under development. The mod looks promising, however, allowing players to bring a new princess to Hyrule.
Bowsette took internet assault after the artist aykk22 responded to a request from fans regarding what would happen if Bowser used the Super Crown article of Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe. The Super Crown makes a cross between Princess Peach and Toadette, thus hypothetically engendering the character if Bowser was so inclined to use it.
The character has triggered a wide range of reactions among fans, some players wanting an official response from Nintendo via future integrations into games. For the moment, fans of Bowsette will have to be content with skydiving through Hyrule, which does not seem like a compromise. Bowsette of the Wild, do you like it?
