Every year we have the habit of developing a Black Friday PC among the best deals possible. Our best standard gaming PC build guide is about $ 1,250 for its budget, while the high-end version is worth $ 2,000. But the weekend of Black Friday, when the prices of some components fall, can we do better? Yes, or you would not read this.
We are going to make two parts lists this year, one for a mid-range PC and one for a high-end construction. The goal here is to get a good price and we will regularly update the parts as needed, as the best offers are not going to last.
For reference, there is an HP Omen computer that sells for $ 1,499 that we want to achieve or surpass in terms of price and performance. This will be high-end construction, while traditional construction will aim for a budget half as much. Both versions are designed to handle all current games without difficulty, the ultra 1080p being the target of mid-range versions and the 1440p resolution for the high-end system. Here are the best current choices and we have done our best to make sure all the pieces will work and integrate well.
As usual, we do not include the keyboard, mouse or monitor in these versions.
High-end black Friday on PC
All you need for a high-end and overclocked custom PC, including Windows. You can upgrade to a larger SSD or choose a different enclosure, but that's pretty much the only thing you need to think about.
Total price: $ 1,658.92 (save $ 466)
Yeah, beating the price of HP Omen is hard! Tim was so impressed by the agreement that he bought one. We gain some points by including the unlocked K-Series processor with a liquid cooler, plus a larger high-end M.2 SSD. Is it worth the extra $ 150? We would like to think so.
EVGA Z370 Classified K | $ 129.99 (save $ 150)
Better known for its graphics cards, EVGA also manufactures high-end Intel motherboards. The Z370 Classified K is the current high-end offering for Coffee Lake processors and includes SLI and overclocking support, as well as three M.2 slots (one Key-E). Buy at Newegg
Enermax ECA3520 | $ 49.99 (save $ 20)
There are many cases and opinions vary a lot on what looks good. This Enermax supports 240 / 280mm chillers, which was a requirement for our high-end construction, and represents 29% off at the moment. Buy at Newegg
Black Friday mid-range PC generation
Our mid-range structure is still powerful, but we aim for savings rather than optimal performance. As such, the AMD Ryzen CPUs are the best option at the moment, as are the RX 580 graphics cards.
Total price: $ 671.91 (save $ 231)
The closest that will take you to a similar market already built is this Dell at Office Depot, for $ 480. We do not beat it for the price (mainly thanks to the Windows license), but we provide a better processor, a motherboard, a storage and a graphics card.
