Improved notification control on OnePlus 5
Nov 16, 2017
By default, OnePlus 5 only provides you with basic application notification commands – you can allow or block all notifications. There is an option to place them low priority (which means they appear only at the bottom of the notification center). If you want more control over notifications, you can enable OnePlus Laboratory – a hidden feature in Oxygen OS (this means it should work on the future of OnePlus 5T too). Hold down the gear icon in the notification bar for 7 to 10 seconds. When you leave it, a message telling you that the lab has been activated is displayed. You can access it from Settings> OnePlus Lab. For now, it only has improved notification controls. Once activated, you can set the level of importance of each application notification. You have a choice of 5 levels that allow you to adjust interrupts, peek, sounds and vibrations in full screen for incoming notifications. Keep in mind that you will need to go to Settings> Applications> Application Name> Notifications to adjust these controls individually for each application.
