Since then, Cadillac has decided to continue calling it the CT6-V instead of the V-Sport. Mark Reuss, executive vice president and president of GM Global Automotive Group and Cadillac said, according to Autoblog,
"With the launch of the CTS-V sedan in 2004, the V-Series sub-brand has breathed new life into Cadillac. Following the overwhelming response received by the CT6 V-Sport during its revelation in early 2018, we decided to officially make a V-Series, marking the extension of the V series.

Unfortunately, that's where the good news comes to an end, as a Cadillac spokesperson also told the chain that 2019 will be the last model year for the beloved ATS-V and CTS-V. Road & Track also confirmed the story.
