Yes, I did it in the headline because of a brown Cadillac warrants that. V-Series performance models, Cadillac will build 300 special Pedestal Edition models of the 2019 ATS-V and CTS-V. The paint is not called brown, it's called "Bronze Sand Metallic" but it looks brown to me.

In addition to the special paint job, the cut and the sedan will get black chrome accents, forged wheels, red brake calipers and two-tone interiors. No performance upgrades were listed.

Cadillac says that the Pedestal Edition is meant to celebrate 15 years of Cadillac V-Series sub-branding, which started in 2004 with the very first CTS-V sedan. Arguably, that's what it's all about Cadillac on the radar and gave the Germans something to worry about.

Only 300 of the special editions will be built in the U.S., Canada and the Middle East. Ordering will begin during the first week of November. Pricing for the 2019 ATS-V Cup Pedestal Edition starts at $ 77,090, and $ 102,590 for the 2019 CTS-V Pedestal Edition, which is about $ 10,000 to $ 15,000 more expensive than they normally are.

Cadillac will not kill the ATS-V or the CTS-V for the next generation of V, but it will be expanding the lineup. We can expect the CT6-V, which will have Cadillac's all-new hot-vee engine. More are a good thing, especially if they are brown.
