It's been 15 years since Cadillac launched its first model of the V Series, the 2004 CTS-V, and to celebrate, Cadillac has introduced new Pedestal Edition models based on the ATS-V Coupe and CTS-V models.
They are introduced for 2019 and can be ordered from the first week of November. Their arrival also marks the end of the road for current generations ATS-V and CTS-V.
The entire ATS and CTS lines are endangered and will soon be replaced by the CT4 and CT5 lines, respectively. The ATS sedan has already bowed. Fortunately, the replacement model ranges should also benefit from the performance treatment of an expanded V-Series range, complemented by the full-size CT6-V.
But greedy buyers looking to embark on a V-Series model today have a lot to admire in the ATS-V Coupe and CTS-V Pedestal Edition models. Only 300 will be built for the United States, Canada and the Middle East. The edition of the ATS-V Coupé pedestal will be available starting at $ 77,090 and that of the CTS-V pedestal, starting at $ 102,590. Both digits include the destination.
Cadillac ATS-V Coupe 2019 Pedestal Edition
The exterior of the cars is finished in a unique shade called Bronze Sand Metallic. Added to this are black chrome accents and dark forged alloys (18 inches on the ATS-V coupe and 19 inches on the CTS-V). Brembo brake calipers are painted red to create a contrast. Both models come with a carbon fiber case that uses lightweight material for the cleaver, hood, rear spoiler and rear diffuser.
The interior of the Cadillac Pedestal Edition stands out with Recaro bucket seats at the front upholstered in leather and featuring micro-suede inserts for added grip. There are also special badges, carbon fiber dash accents and a performance datalogger. The CTS-V Pedestal Edition also includes a luxury package that includes a number of products, including sunshades for rear windows and a digital rearview mirror.
No changes have been made to the powertrain of either model. In the coupe pedestal edition of ATS-V Coupe, you'll find a 3.6-liter, bi-turbocharged V-6 developing 464 horsepower and 445 lb-ft of torque. CTS-V Pedestal Edition, you're looking for a supercharged 6.2-liter V-8 delivering 640 hp and 630 lb-ft of power.
