Call Of Duty: Black Ops 4 dramatically shorten the PS4 exclusivity window

Activision has confirmed that the post-launch DLC for Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 will arrive on PS4 before launching on Xbox One and PC. This is not a surprise, since the PS4 has received quick access to DLC extensions on every Call of Duty game since the first Activision partnership with PlayStation for Call of Duty 2015: Black Ops 3. This time , the PS4 window is much shorter.

For Black Ops 4, Activision announced that the PS4 will only have a week ahead of the Xbox One and the PC for playable post-launch content. This includes all seasonal events, as well as new specialists and maps for multiplayer. The Nuketown multiplayer map will be available on all platforms in November, followed by new specialists in December. Call of Duty's past games have given the PS4 an exclusivity of two to four weeks on some updates. With this dramatic shortening of the window, it is quite useless to pre-order Black Ops 4 on Xbox One and PC.

Prior to the launch of Black Ops 4, Treyarch released a beta version of the Blackout Battle Mode. The Blackout beta has a number of players limited to 80, 88 and 100, but Treyarch has not announced the number that will be used for the last game. The beta version also offered different types of modifiers, such as short-range weapons and a quick-close edging circle, which taught us just how different Blackout is from other royal battle games like Battlegrounds and Fortnite.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 will be launched on October 12 on Xbox One, PS4 and PC. If you pre-order the Deluxe or Digital Deluxe editions of the game, you can get a head start in multiplayer with the Call of Duty points in play.
