Call of Duty: The private beta of Black Ops 4 is running on PS4. Now that the first day of beta is over, developer Treyarch has revealed a list of changes to the mode, including more drives, faster collection of items, and other improvements.[[[[Update: Treyarch has added more Blackout settings, including the first special event of the mode, Fast Collapse.]

In a Reddit post, Treyarch announced that it had raised the number of Blackout beta players to 88. At the start of the beta, it supported 80 players per game – 20 less than PUBG and Fortnite. However, Treyarch said that the number of Blackout players was likely to change based on comments received from players, so the number could still fluctuate over the next few days as the beta opens to more platforms.

On top of that, Treyarch picked up objects faster. "We have seen several comments suggesting that the time to pick up items is slower than expected," wrote the developer in his summary of the first day. "We will update the game to speed pick up as much as possible without interfering with reloading, and make it easier to pick up items without looking directly at them."

In addition, the developer has reduced the duration of the sensor Dart, an object that can be fired at an area to reveal players nearby. The Dart will now last two minutes. Beyond that, Treyarch has made sure that the fast equipments menu closes automatically if it has not been used for five seconds, while the selected playlist has been changed to Duos.

Treyarch says that he will continue to roll out updates for Blackout "daily", so more changes are expected for the mode before the end of the beta. As mentioned earlier, the beta is currently only available on PS4, but will open to Xbox One and PC players who pre-ordered the title on September 14th. All PC players with a Battle.net account will also have a chance to come on September 15th. The beta version of Blackout is expected to be available until 10:00 am Pacific Time / 1:00 pm ET on September 17th.
