In our last video on YouTube, we compared the cameras of the iPhone XR and the iPhone XS Max to see what difference you will really see with the single lens camera compared to the dual lens camera.

However, you are limited to 3x digital zoom on iPhone XR 2x optical zoom or 6x digital zoom on the iPhone XS.
With regard to the front camera, you will not see any differences between iPhone XR and the iPhone XS models because all three smartphones use the same TrueDepth camera system with a 7-megapixel front camera and full support for portrait images, portrait mode lighting, depth control, memos and Animoji .
Overall, in terms of camera performance, unless you take a lot of pictures in Portrait mode or use the optical zoom feature of your iPhone often, you may not notice a lot of difference if you choose iPhone XR above iPhone XS.
