Acura today launched its brand new compact ILX 2019 sedan, with the availability of CarPlay and Android Auto.

Acura provides a brief demonstration of CarPlay in the ILX 2019 in its teaser video for the vehicle, starting at the 25-second mark. The small print in the video confirms that CarPlay is available on Premium and higher versions.


CarPlay allows iPhone users to access a range of applications from the dashboard, such as Messages, Apple Maps, Apple Music, Podcasts, Overcast, Spotify, Pandora and WhatsApp. Google Maps and Waze are also supported from iOS 12.

The Acura ILX 2019 will begin arriving at Acura dealerships in the United States in October. Pricing has not been disclosed.
