Challenges of High Stakes – Fortnite Wiki Guide

High Challenges Challenges are not part of Season 5 Battle Pass but are paired with The Getaway LTM. Our guide has tips for accomplishing all three challenges, including picking up a jewel in 5 different matches from the challenge of the getaway.

Clear all three challenges to unlock the Crowbar Pickaxe! No matter who can accomplish these challenges, no Battle Pass is required! See a list of all the weekly challenges here and check the Week 9 Challenges here. Jump to each challenge of the High Stakes Challenge with these links:

Reward: Adapted Spray

Thumbtack: Players report damage to jewels with opponents who do not count for the challenge. Apparently, if you continue to win the match, you do not add anything to the challenge. You must die in the game to add to the challenge.

Similar to a normal offer of 500 damage challenges, but the only opponents that matter are those who wear a jewel. There are initially only four jewels in total at the beginning of the match and inflict damage on any enemy you do not see. Hitting someone in a team wearing a jewel does not count, this must be the player with the jewel.

Fortunately, once a jewel is discovered in a safe and picked up, the location of the jewel will appear on the map and will continue to appear shortly thereafter. There are also extra waves of jewelry that appear as the match lengthens. Once a team makes a getaway, the match continues. As long as you are still alive, there is a chance to see another player holding a jewel of a different wave.

As we continue to play the mode, we will add tips to find players with jewelry and how to better manage the damage.

Reward: 5000XP

Enter and play at least 10 different matches of The Getaway, the LTM part of the High Stakes event. You do not have to win or even interact with any of the jewels, you just have to enter each game!

Reward: Cash Contracts

Initially, only four jewels appear at the beginning of each match of The Getaway and you will have to play five different matches during which you will recover the jewel at least once to complete this challenge.

The jewels can be found in the safes that fall in the supply drops early in the game. Keep in mind that you only need to take the gem only once in the game to add to your challenge. Let a member of the team recover it will not work, you must recover it at least once. If you have generous teammates, they may be able to drop it off so you can take it quickly.

Take note that there are waves of jewel drops, so the first four are not the only jewels to appear in every game. In fact, you may want to completely avoid the first four. Wait for the second wave to appear and head for a much less congested safe. Remember that several teams can win as long as they bring the jewel to one of the floating vans. You can always take a jewel towards the end of the game when there are only a few players left.

As we continue to play the mode, we will add tips on how best to spot supply declines and how to keep them all for you.
