In the past two years, virtually every phone manufacturer has experimented with screen-centric cuts, also known as notches, for cameras and front sensors. Now, it looks like we'll see another type of notch on some upcoming handsets soon, courtesy of Huawei and Samsung.

Huawei said it would reveal more information about its next device on Dec. 3, while Samsung is expected to introduce the A8s next month or January 2019 – so we'll know very soon if this will really be something.
I am interested to see what it will look like in real life. Android pie supports notches, which means that the latest version of the mobile operating system can support devices with cutouts by reducing the content if necessary and by organizing items such as the clock and the icons in the notification bar so that they are not hidden.
It can also support high notches by expanding the height of the notification bar. Thus, applications and other content displayed on the screen are not affected. I imagine that these upcoming Huawei and Samsung devices will work the same way, that is with a higher than usual notification bar and reduced full screen content. way to display under the bottom of the camera before.
It's hard to say if people will love or hate this new design trend, but it's good to see hardware manufacturers trying new things – and not emptying Apple for once. I also appreciated Vivo and Oppo's attempts to hide the front camera and sensors with sliding components earlier this year. Now, if only these brands could remember to save space for headphone jacks, we would all be happy.
