Although there is still time in the launch of the World of Warcraft Classic demo, some players are already playing it. Blizzard Entertainment does not open the demo until November 2nd, but users have found a way around it and read it earlier.
No users have received an official Blizzard green light to play the demo, even those who have been preloaded have been allowed access.
The following video shows a graphic comparison of the upcoming demo with the WoW 2005 game. It's a clear sign that the demo has been somehow compromised.
The man behind this video explained to Eurogamer how he could play the demo. As he suggested, the access obtained was entirely due to an emulator sandbox. This emulator tricks the World of Warcraft Classic servers when connecting to Blizzard. Instead, the servers connect the demonstration with a PC program.
The user who downloaded the video on Youtube is specialized in the recovery of such demos. After Youtuber got his hands on the demo, he made this graphic comparison.
Meanwhile, this access is not as extensive as that of the original World of Warcraft Classic demo. Since connecting to Blizzard servers is not legitimate, quests and NPCs are not there. Players can only move without any level elevation.
In addition, there are obvious improvements in the upcoming demo over the 2005 video game. From the user interface to the upgraded graphics, World of Warcraft Classic has come a long way. Even titles like Destiny 2 have been inspired by the video game series.
