Compete, E-Sports division of Kotaku closes its doors in July

While many media have strongly pushed e-sports as the next big thing (although this is really not the case), many sites have thought that they could make the bank on audiences who watch and watch electronic sports competitions all the time. Kotaku and Deadspin have decided to embark on a joint venture and get into the fray with Compete, a vertical based on news and editorials of electronic sports.
