A new trailer of Death Stranding, the mysterious new project by Metal Gear creator Hideo Kojima, is out and gives us our first look at the character played by Troy Baker.

Baker, who worked with Kojima on Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain, appears in Death Stranding as an enigmatic antagonist that creates a supernatural obstacle for Reedus' Sam Porter Bridges. Baker's character removes a golden skull mask from his head and plunges it into the ground, summoning a mammoth alien mammoth creature of scary black limbs.

In typical Kojima Productions fashion, there is very little information about what all this means and how it fits into the wider game. Instead, it creates other issues for which we desperately want answers. Unfortunately, we do not know exactly when we will get these answers because Death Stranding has no release date yet.

Death Stranding began to develop in 2015, shortly after Kojima separated from Konami. The game debuted at the Sony E3 2016 press conference, and although several trailers have been released since then, very little is known about it. In addition to Baker, the Stranding cast includes a number of famous actors, including The dead who walkNorman Reedus, HannibalMads Mikkelsen, Lea Seydoux and Lindsay Wagner.
