Delayed Nintendo Direct Presentation Gets New Date

[ad_1]

Nintendo announced new details for its upcoming Nintendo Direct broadcast. The presentation, which was originally scheduled to air last week but was delayed due to a severe earthquake in Hokkaido, Japan, will now be aired worldwide on Thursday, 13 September.

As Nintendo has already revealed, the next Direct will last about 35 minutes, suggesting that it will be filled with many ads and trailers. Nintendo says the broadcast will focus on upcoming titles for Switch and 3DS, but beyond that, the company has not shared details about the expectations of the presentation.

North America's live stream starts at 3:00 pm, Eastern time / 6:00 pm, while Europe's stream starts at 11:00 pm Pacific time. You will be able to watch the presentation directly on the official Nintendo website and on the Twitch channel. GameSpot will also have a stream of the presentation, so you can log in here and watch it unfold.

Among the topics that Nintendo will be discussing at tomorrow's Live is the upcoming Nintendo Switch online service. Nintendo confirmed on Twitter that service will be officially launched next week, September 18, and that more information will be unveiled at Thursday's presentation.

While Nintendo has already announced many details about Nintendo Switch Online, including its pricing levels and the various benefits that subscribers will receive, such as cloud backups for most Switch games, we do not know much yet. Specifically, Nintendo has not yet revealed the full range of games available in the NES library of Nintendo Switch Online. Subscribers will have access to 20 classic NES titles – with added online gaming – as soon as the service is launched, and others will be added "regularly", but the company only revealed half of the selection.

As for the games that Nintendo will present during the broadcast, we will probably see titles that were missing from the Nintendo 2018 E3 presentation, such as the untitled Yoshi game for Switch. We will also probably learn new details on some of the biggest Switch titles of the season, such as Pokemon: Let's Go, Pikachu and Let's Go, Eevee and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.
