There's a reason why Dell specifically targets the financial sector with its new UltraSharp 49 monitor: it's hard to sell at $ 1,700 (about £ 1,290 or AU $ 2,400).

Even if you have a graphical configuration that can move as many pixels in a consistent way (just under 4K), few games will evolve correctly in 32: 9 format. Your pennies will probably be better spent on a 34 "screen optimized for games or with support for G-Sync HDR or FreeSync 2. This should leave you plenty of room left to monitor your streaming conversation and money in your wallet to spend. on other games and gear.

A monitor of this size has many uses, especially with its built-in KVM switch to switch between two separate connected systems. Hopefully the price will fall to a more practical level by the same date next year.
