Destiny 2: Abandoned players will soon see less duplicate exotic drops

Destiny 2: Abandoned has been out for a little over a month now, and although players have little to complain about, the annoying aspects of this expansion are quite significant. Many players – including our own criticism – have found frustrations with the chance associated with exotic hunting. In the last week of this week in Bungie, the studio said how it was going to change this problem, as well as others.

In the blog post, Bungie commented on some of the original goals he had in mind when making exotic programming more difficult to obtain – mainly, making them feel rare again. But the developers admitted that they had not managed to drop the exotic drops because players tended to have as many duplicates. To solve this problem, Bungie said he intended to increase players' chances of receiving an exotic game they did not have yet.

Bungie also discussed Destiny 2Basic economics of the masterwork – more precisely, its inclusion in the perfusion process. The studio said it originally wanted to make brewing harder, so players could not easily increase the power of old weapons. However, Bungie feels it's a little too difficult for players to acquire hearts in the first place.

To solve this problem, Bungie intends to introduce more ways for players to acquire centerpieces. However, the studio also thinks there is a perception problem around the motto, so it will be necessary to rename Masterwork Cores so that it is not just associated with Masterwork weapons and armor.

The team also revealed that it wanted the Iron Banner Crucible mode to be a catch-up mechanism for low power players, allowing them to regroup at the same time. But after the first week of the Iron Banner season, the Crucible team made some changes.

In future events, bonuses will be much easier to fill than they were during the first week of Iron Banner: for example, 50 precision attacks were needed instead of 100. Most importantly, all bonuses will reward players to increase their overall level significantly.

Bungie has not yet given an exit date for these changes, although he has confirmed that changes to the Iron Banner would be in place the next time the event unfolds.
