Knowing where to be when talking about the knowledge of Destiny 2, is like trying to find where to dive into the knowledge itself. The tradition of destiny is a multi-faceted thing that has diminished so much in its own ego that it seems to be hiding itself. Tradition is one thing that wants to be a lot, but it can only be very far from what players want to understand. There is no weaving of the Destiny universe that seems completely concise. Instead, the knowledge seems to set in and disappear, just like the game mechanics implemented. It's something that does not know who it belongs to, whether directly in front of the player or in a completely separate plan where outside sources are sought. It's like trying to write a dissertation; which means a considerable amount of dedication to the thing itself while drawing from multiple sources, which is just not fun.
The universe of Destiny is complex since the first day. Those who have kept the game since its inception know that the original story (like many games) has even been rewritten. It's a science-fiction universe mixed with magic. A universe that houses warriors of the undead space protecting a last city. A universe where cosmic dragons have been hunted to extinction. A universe where several extraterrestrial empires have risen and fallen into something called "darkness". Overall, none seems to matter as it has become a kind of showcase for the game itself. Which is a shame because there are some cool stuff in the Destiny universe. Instead, it spreads more and more, explaining things without explaining anything and leaving players with more questions than when they arrived.

This can be blatantly seen in the latest version of Forsaken where Prince Uldren of the Awoken apparently came back for revenge on The Last City and his vanguard of the protectors. He talks about sowing an ultimate talk across the galaxy by telling his barons to "cause chaos". It's unfortunate that it immediately falls flat because of what appears to be his sister's strong visions of "The Queen" story ahead. Instead, Uldren has been trapped by a space giant Gorgon who is coming out of the left field completely slapping any player who cares about reality squarely in the face. Bungie started strong with what would be in their words "an enemy player could put a face too" and instead he is greeted in the end by a floating mass of dirt that has little or no real weight. Oh … cool, another boring monster to shoot. Instead of extending between Uldren and the player, it's as if Bungie did not know how to implement a simple duel. Let us at least hunt, but no, just fill that end with something that is rushed without context to what exactly the monster East. Instead, the players are told that there are things in the universe "dark things" that have yet to be discovered and that the Guardians have surely summoned to kill Uldren.
The entire preparation of Forsaken, Bungie talked about how Uldren would be a villain who is worth retaliating for, but like so many revenge stories, it turns out ultimately useless. Instead, Uldren is brought to be a victim of manipulation and the vengeance sought rings as hollow as the envelope falling from the weapon by the Guardian players. supposed fires. Now, players are confronted with a new thing that has no context, unless of course to read the triumphant pages of the game. Unfortunately, many players will never see them because at the end of a game session they will not worry about it. Even for someone who likes to read in traditions, Destiny becomes a little so full of itself that keeping up is as useless as seeking revenge for Cayde's death. Nobody wants to read a book while playing a game, it's hard enough to do two things at the same time, but if a developer does it, shuffle it to the point of not leaving room for the player. only to shrug one's shoulders to say, "I guess we'll find out?" Ending such unnecessary questions leaves a bitter taste in your mouth.
At this point, it's hard to see Bungie being able to return the ship when it comes to Destiny's knowledge. They have not found this yet and it seems that this is no longer within the reach of all new versions of content. Although the focus is on the mechanics of the game, the storyboard is left out and all the imaginable ideas that are thrown on the wall are being felt. The players end up with a stew that has too much to do at the same time, which makes the game 's flavors mix in a way that looks like nothing else than a bad broth too much cooked.
