Destiny 2: Forsaken solved the biggest franchise raid problem

Raids have always been the culmination of any Destiny experience. Players fell in love with destiny when the glass safe released, and the King catch The expansion is best known for the excellent King's Fall raid. Each upcoming Destiny raid had the same major problem: consistency. But Abandoned finally provided a solution that players have been talking to Bungie for the past five years.

When players fail during a raid, called "wipe", they return normally, but they lose the Supers they spent or the ammo they triggered. This translates into a major problem of coherence. How can you expect to progress in a fight as you do not have access to the same tools?

In simple terms: you can not. That's why the Destiny community has relied on the use of "ammunition draws" for years. Essentially, players start the fight, run and kill their enemies until they have plenty of ammo and have more energy. The team intentionally wipes so that everyone can have a fresh and optimal traction. It adds minutes to the reset time if the players want a shot prepared against the boss.

But all this will be a thing of the past when the Last Wish Raid opens on September 14th. When players reach Dreaming City, they will have access to a new provider – which we will not mess up here. One of the items that players can buy from this provider is a raid banner. This new item can be used by pirates before a fight to place a rally banner in the meeting room. All members of the raid can then get up on the banner to recharge their super energy and their heavy ammunition.

Although these items are consumable – which means that when you use one, it is gone – they are very cheap, costing 5,000 Glimmer or three legendary pieces. The whole process is actually very similar to bringing a treat to a raid in something like World of Warcraft, where all players enjoy the generosity of an ally.

We have no idea how the Last Wish Raid will work, or where it will sit in the raids of the Destiny Hall of Fame. But no matter who is thinking about the raid, this new Raid Banner system will allow him to shoot an honest shot without worrying about the amount of ammo Colonel_the_chicken_6 will have in his rocket launcher.
