destiny The long-awaited update will take place on October 30, right in the middle of its Festival of the Lost event, which could bring something cool like a quest for the Thunder Lord, but other extremely important changes are also to come up.
In This Week at Bungie, the developers explained exactly how two of the most frustrating aspects of Destiny 2 would be changing, exotic drops and infusion. What is changed to make the player (and I) stop shouting?
Exotic Drops
- There will now be a "weighting," where the game will take into account the exotic species you have and those that are not, and adjust its declines accordingly. That does not guarantee a non-duplicate, but it should reduce the chances of a good amount. Of course, we do not know any numbers
- When you get duplicates, they will be considered as armor because they can have random throws while the weapons can not and the dupes of these are good only for an infusion.
- The exotic quest have been removed from the loot pool and I still do not understand if they were there by mistake or anything.
It's a little different from the plan that I heard a moment ago because originally it was said that Abandoned Exotic species weigh heavier, but it's a better system. In this way, players who do not have all Year One Exotic can continue to chase them away, while someone like me, who is only Missing exotics now missing may have heavier weight. And the two exotic Forsaken that I have will have no chance to appear because they are fooled.
Infusion
- The masterwork hearts have been renamed "improvement hearts" because they are not removed from the infusion and it was confusing, I suppose.
- You'll get Mastework kernels from Scrapper bonuses and six Spider bonuses per week. I suppose Spider bonuses will grant more than one kernel, but they are not listed.
- When you have carrots, they will be more visible than the little piece of sweet orange corn that they are now.
This is one of the areas in which the more I play, the more I give up the fight against infusion requiring hearts of masterpiece. At this point, while I'm almost at the maximum level, I'm pretty much able to break even the carrots, despite the frequent infusion needed to move up a gear. Once I have touched max, I will finally be able to focus on the idea that my Guardian would not look like a burning mess in his armor, but there is more to it than two sources of additional kernels, I guess that's enough, even though this whole process is more complicated than it should and with so much to do to Destiny 2 for the moment, more premiums do not seem welcome. If they make the basic spider bonuses of the itinerant patrol leader's sought targets, I will be so angry.
Will this solve all that concerns these two problems? I mean, I doubt it. I've already said that with exotic drop rates, there could be complete protection against the dupe and that it would still take several months for everyone to get all excretable exotics from Forsaken. . I guess it depends on a lot of "weight" that this mystery algorithm gives to what you do not have, but maybe that between Xur and him who finally managed to get rid of his ass and have sold some exotic from Forsaken, it will be a good solution.
Infusion always seems weird and I do not like the sound of "hearts of improvement", but it does not matter. It's certainly not worst than the current system, for which I have become insensitive, but I reject the idea that the infusion is supposed to be this expensive, "significant" choice. No, master work, was supposed to be that choice, which is always the case, minus the fact that the master armor is incredibly useless for the moment. This change gives the impression of being tangent in the wrong direction.
Anyway, I'm looking forward to the 30th and you should too.
