Destiny 2 The new exotic reprobate: every weapon / exotic armor up to now

Last week saw the release of the third new DLC extension for Destiny 2, Forsaken. It is much bigger than the last two and is positioned as the equivalent of the Taken King expansion, which has changed the game in the previous game. It remains to be seen if the players will need long-term legs, but the first signs are encouraging. In the meantime, there are many new things to take away – including exotics (weapons and armor) for hunters, warlocks and titans. Make sure to take a look at our current Renewed Review to get an idea of what we've played so far, before launching the Raid on September 14th.

As a result of the recent changes to Update 2.0, Forsaken's many additions and changes and the 2.0.0.1 update include a new power level, Strikes, Story Missions, Zones to Explore, raid (launch Sept. 14), Gambit Mode, Crucible Cards and much more. But players participate in many of these activities with one goal: to get new equipment, especially weapons and exotic armor. You can always buy old ones at Xur, but these are the most exciting news.

No doubt there are many hidden exotics to discover, some of which may not be available right away. But already, we've gotten hold of or have been able to preview a ton of exotic weapons and armor included, and you can see them above, including one of the new types of weapons, the Bows. We will continue to develop this as we meet more.

One thing to keep in mind is that there are a number of items that you will only find on PS4. As with previous versions of Destiny content, Sony has entered into a time-based exclusivity agreement that states that some things will be released first on PS4. With Forsaken, this includes a strike called Broodhold, an exotic weapon called Wavesplitter (pictured above), an exotic ship (Great Beyond) and armor for each class: Thorium Holt (Warlock), Red Moon Phantom (Hunter), and Mimetic Savior (Titan). All of this will eventually come out on Xbox One and PC, but not before at least the autumn of 2019.

Forsaken is now available on all platforms. We have some first impressions, a guide to activate a new heroic public event, and we will soon have a Gambit guide on how to compete effectively in the new PvE / PvP hybrid mode. Look for a lot more in the next few days.
