Devil May Cry 5: Dante weapons gameplay off screen of NYCC 2018, luxury edition

When we started designing the game, the lead producer, Okabe-san, was categorical: Devil can cry 5 This campaign will be available without you having to buy anything apart from the standard edition of the game. Therefore, when it came time to plan a deluxe version of the game, we made sure that everything that is extra literally that one – fun extras that I hope hardcore fans will enjoy.

This means that no additional weapons should feel like the "best" weapon to have, but must offer something fun that may interest hardcore players. That said, let's get to the basics of these weapons!

We start with Gerbera GP01. This is a version of Gerbera that offers alternating coloring to pay tribute to its designer, Shoji Kawamori (famous for his design work on the Gundam GP01 and Macross Valkyrie). From a functional point of view, it offers a reciprocating motion compared to your standard Gerbera: when you use this Devil Breaker demon and you hold the controller in neutral, Nero executes "Jocky" and launches the ball upward (from the ground) or downward (from the air). rather than reaching out to deal with enemies or missiles that might be on him.

Next is the Pasta Breaker. Nico designed this set using spare parts from other Devil Breakers and various kitchen tools to help Nero prepare this dinner. Since it was never designed to be used in combat, it will not do much damage to its enemies. However, every time you use it, the last demons in your inventory will only make one turn. This means it's the only weapon that allows you to activate it for the next Devil Breaker, if you wish. However, since it is not particularly effective in combat, you will have to think for a long time about whether you prefer to use a place in your database inventory before you start.

Sweet Surrender is rather a passive Devil Breaker. As long as Nero has this equipment in hand, he will not be able to attack the demons at all, but you can use it to slowly regenerate a little health. If you're really at the limit, you can use Sweet Surrender's Break Age ability to regenerate a bigger piece of life. Anyway, as long as you have equipped Sweet Surrender, you'll have to focus on these sweet combinations with Blue Rose and Red Queen.

Cavaliere R is a version of Cavaliere that Nico specially designed and painted for Dante. From the point of view of functionality, this adds a new shot, but Dante is more likely to be broken from his attacks than the OG Cavaliere. Of course, you still have a gesture at your disposal – but you will have to wonder if this compromise by losing the super armor is really worth it!

As I said earlier, the intention was to balance them so that there is no "best" Devil Breaker or version of a weapon – but the extra weapons should offer something fun that Hardcore fans can explore if they wish.
