Nero and Dante have one thing in common: they are exasperated by hacking, beating, and explosions of demons.
It's been a while since the players saw Nero in action. After the devil can cry 4 concluded, the series as a whole took a different direction. Capcom entrusted the developer Ninja Theory with the production of DmC: Devil May Cry. While fans lamented the spinoffs' artistic style and Dante's strange rendition, there was still a lot of love for his high-attack combat mechanics and interesting level. Capcom has now chosen to combine the best of the main series and DmC for the next official registration of the series – Devil May Cry 5.
Prepare for a new dose of demon killing as we break down the finer mechanics of the next entry into the Devil may cry franchise.
Devil May Cry 5 release date

Devil May Cry 5 Platforms
Devil May Cry 5 will be available on PS4, Xbox One and PC.
History and characters
Devil May Cry 5 takes place after the events of Devil May Cry 2 and the devil can cry 4. Nero returns with a self-proclaimed "weapons artisan" by his side, named Nico. They entered the activity of the demon hunt, as Dante did before them via a "Devil May Cry" mobile transport vehicle.
Their current mission takes place in Red Grave City, a place ravaged by the sudden appearance of a massive tree that drains the blood of the citizens of the city. This event also marks the arrival of an army of demons at odds with Nero and Nico. Fortunately, these two heroes will not go alone during their journey to save the world. They will be joined by veteran Dante, his closest allies, Trish and Lady, and a new mysterious character simply known as V.
Mechanics and game modes
Devil May Cry 5 retains the realistic visuals seen first in DmC: Devil May Cry and combines it with the arc of gameplay / story that was covered in the main series. Just like before, you'll have to deal with a wide variety of demons while being equipped with all kinds of melee weapons, firearms and other tools. Nero chooses to defeat the demons with his "Red Queen" sword, his "Blue Rose" handgun and his artificial arm called "Devil Breaker".
As Nero no longer has access to his old demonic arm (the "Devil Bringer"), he now has to rely on a set of Devil Breaker attachments. Devil Breakers are capable of sending electric shock waves, slowing down time, delivering a charged breath and accomplishing much more. The range of Devil Bringer revealed to date includes "Opening", "Gerbera", "Ragtime", "Punch Line", "Buster Arm", "Helter Skelter", "Tomboy" and "Rawhide". By killing demons, Nero can reload his Devil Breaker and acquire items from Nico's mobile workshop.
Dante is also present during the hike with his arsenal of iconic weapons. He prepares all the ways of punishment of demons with his "Rebellion" blade, his twin "Ebony & Ivory" pistols and his "Coyote-A" double barreled rifle. As for his new weapons, Dante is now equipped with two Hand / Foot Gauntlets known as "Balrog".
The Kick mode of this melee weapon activates Dante's attacks, while its Blow mode gives Dante fast maneuvering abilities. Dante also brings a heavier melee weapon into the demon hunt called "Cavaliere". This powerful bike can be divided into two twin swords and even inflict damage in its motorcycle form. The formation of Dante Devil Trigger remains intact and he also has access to a blade named after his heroic father – "Devil Sword Sparda".
Besides the main campaign of the game, Devil May Cry 5 will also include a photo mode, a gallery and a training mode. Interestingly, the game will also feature an online multiplayer mode for two or three players. Once we have more information on the third playable character V, we will not fail to describe it in more detail here.
