Diablo 3 Switch Overview – How does the Blizzard Dungeon Exploration Robot Resist Nintendo Switch? | Game | Entertainment

One of this year's worst secrets was officially announced by Diablo 3 for Nintendo Switch in August.

But it was a surprise to hear senior producer Pete Stilwell claim that Diablo 3 would work at 60 frames per second in anchored and handheld mode.

Admittedly, Diablo 3 was launched for the first time six years ago – which made it an old game in terms of video games – but it's still an exceptional game with a lot of content.

The Nintendo Switch version alone contains the main game, all previously released extensions, seven character classes, and instant access to Adventure mode.

There is even a range of exclusive Switch bonuses, including Legend of Zelda themed treats.

But there is no point in having so much content if the game bends under the weight of it all.

This was a real concern for the recent tutorials with Diablo 3 Eternal Collection for Nintendo Switch.

Fortunately, my fears were unfounded because the Diablo 3 campaign seems to work perfectly.

While it is worthwhile to consult the inevitable analysis of the final version by Digital Foundry, the action of Diablo 3 to annihilate the demons is always brighter.

The action is intuitive and the controls simple, allowing you to easily sort your reserve and equip your skills and your most powerful objects.

In fact – and we're tired of saying that – but Diablo 3 seems to be another of those games perfectly suited to Switch.

Whether you play in the campaign mode or in the adventure mode – which is convenient from the start – the Diablo 3 game loop of demon killing / booty lending is perfect.

Better yet, you can play offline or on the move with a four-player cooperative, which means you can collect loot from your friends on the way to work or during the lunch break.

It is perhaps not surprising that a game released throughout the 2012 season resists both Nintendo Switch.

But Diablo 3 is a demanding game, designed to be played on a PC with a mouse and keyboard.

Wearing PC games on standard consoles is a big challenge. Seeing Diablo 3 run smoothly and such comfortable handling is an encouraging sign for the future.

And whether you're an unused player or a full rookie, Diablo 3 Switch seems to be the perfect starting point.

Now we cross our fingers and get this Overwatch port.

Diablo 3 will be released on November 2nd on Nintendo Switch. Express Online will be the subject of a complete revision at the time of launch.
