Dodge evoked 90 more horsepower from the 6.2-liter Hellcat engine by throwing a handful of demonic coins at the thing. The Redeye receives the 2.7-liter Demon's 2.7-liter belt-driven turbocharger, up to 14.5 psi, two two-stage fuel pumps and the SRT Power Chiller, which uses the air-conditioning system from the car to cool the air intake. Reinforced pistons and connecting rods support increased thrust; a revamped drain valve allows the engine to run at 6500 rpm maximum, 300 more than the standard Hellcat, and a reinforced fuel delivery system ensures that this beast is never thirsty. The Redeye makes 707 lb-ft of torque, and is available exclusively with the eight-speed TorqueFlite 8HP90 automatic transmission with specific calibration.
While you'd be excused to assume that this car is called ham sauce made with leftover coffee, the model is designated by the red eyeball on the Hellcat-Kitty logo.
Surprisingly, Dodge will offer the Redeye in both Widebody configurations and normal width. With Pirelli P-Zero tires of 305 Widebody widths, the Redeye will make a 0-60 claimed time of 3.4 seconds, a quarter mile of 10.8 seconds at 131 mph, and a top speed of 203 mph. Those who opt for the narrow Redeye, with its 275-width tires, will run a quarter of a thousand three-tenths of a second slower.
