Dr. DisRespect stops broadcasting after someone has shot at his house

Normally, you'll see Guy Twitch "Dr. DisRespect" Beahm streamer sporting his wig and iconic sunglasses while blowing up the latest video games. But today, after hearing a loud sound, he abruptly broke the character and left the tide – returning informing his audience that someone had just pulled a real gun into his house.

"I have to end the broadcast right away .. Someone shot our house, broke the top window," said Beahm, who revealed that it was not the first time.

Kotaku reported that the local police are on the scene and no one seems to have been hurt. The DrDisRespect Twitch page currently says "Doc and Family are safe.[ing] ". Polygon later confirmed with a local sheriff's department that a person matching Beahm's description had called to report the shot, and that it was the second report in two days.

The San Diego Tribune quotes local investigators that the weapon used was probably a BB gun, as opposed to a more deadly weapon.

Beahm tweeted later on Tuesday night that no one has been hurt and that "the situation is handled appropriately". He says that he will come back tomorrow in streaming.

Beahm, a former community leader for Sledgehammer Games and multi-player level designer for Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, has since become one of the best known streamers in the world. Battlegrounds of the unknown player (PUBG).

Dr. DisRespect and Twitch did not immediately respond to CNET's requests for comment.
