Dr. DisRespect stops broadcasting after someone has shot at his house

Guy "Dr. DisRespect" Beahm is back. Twitch's streamer was playing as if nothing had happened, sporting his wig and iconic sunglasses while exploding the latest video games. "I do not do much about it – it's managed, and that's all I say," he began today.

What happened? On Tuesday, after hearing a loud noise, he abruptly broke the character and left the stream – returning informing his audience that someone had just pulled a real gun into his house.

"I have to end the broadcast right away .. Someone shot our house, broke the top window," said Beahm, who revealed that it was not the first time.

Kotaku reported that the local police are on the scene and no one seems to have been hurt. The DrDisRespect Twitch page currently says "Doc and Family are safe.[ing] ". Polygon later confirmed with a local sheriff's department that a person matching Beahm's description had called to report the shot, and that it was the second report in two days.

The San Diego Tribune quotes local investigators that the weapon used was probably a BB gun, as opposed to a more deadly weapon.

Beahm tweeted later on Tuesday night that no one has been hurt and that "the situation is handled appropriately".

Doc and his family appreciate everyone's concerns and wishes.

Fortunately, no one was hurt. The situation is handled appropriately.

And Wednesday, Beahm returns to streaming as promised. And although it is mostly his character, Dr. DisRespect, who uttered these words, we can not help but wonder if the real man below has added anything:

"Today will be a good day, I will make sure of it, we will not retreat from any fight, we are face to face, we are fighting, we are doing the work, arriving today. "

Beahm, a former community leader for Sledgehammer Games and multi-player level designer for Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, has since become one of the best known streamers in the world. Battlegrounds of the unknown player (PUBG).

Dr. DisRespect and Twitch did not immediately respond to CNET's requests for comment.
