Originally configured to come out with PS4, PC and 3DS versions; Dragon Quest XI for Nintendo Switch has been delayed for technical reasons. The game finally comes out and will be called "Dragon Quest XI S".
The announcement was made by the series's producer, Yuji Horii, who said that "S" stands for "Switch", "Sieyuu" (VA) and "Speaking".
Square Enix has just announced "Dragon Quest XI S" for Switch. No indication of release date, but S, according to the developers, indicates "Switch" "Special" "Character voices (shaberu, in Japanese) as well as" Initial of voice actor "." But S does not mean small, "the firm says. pic.twitter.com/y6VFVwJBdV

We are waiting for this version with additional content, DLC maybe?
The game came out for PC and PS4 in the West earlier this month. In Japan, the game was released on PS4 and the Nintendo 3DS in July 2017.
Square Enix has not announced a release date but I would bet money for a 2019 release.
