Arthur Morgan, the main character of Red Dead Redemption 2, has many dreams as he sits between the action scenes of the Western epic Rockstar Games.
He sees a wolf, looking directly at the camera, in a scene. And he dreams of a deer many times, moving in slow motion with slow, noisy music.
I wondered what these dreams meant and why they left almost all access to interpretation. Is it the disappearance of nature in American life or something else? The scenes are beautiful, the music too. But surely they must mean something more than a short respite?
