You may recall a special I did last week which explains why the Taiko Drum Master (or The Taiko no Tatsujin series ) deserves a second chance on the American market, since we have not seen an exit here since Drum Master on PlayStation 2. Well, apparently someone in Bandai Namco was listening because we were receiving two parties this autumn

The publisher announced just before the weekend that Taiko no Tatsujin: Drum Session will be released on PlayStation 4; while Taiko no Tatsujin: Drum n 'Fun ! is scheduled to debut on Nintendo Switch. Both games will be held on November 2nd. Unfortunately, Bandai Namco does not seem to be about drum controllers, but hardcore fans can still import them and enjoy these games. (The default controls are not bad either, of course.)

The trailer above gives you a good idea of what to expect from these games. You can compete against one or two players in the main mode and challenge a number of mini-games, making it a must-attend favorite of the party.

Both games will also feature superb selections of soundtracks. With classic hits and dance classics, the Switch version of Tatsujin will also include Nintendo Favorites as the theme Splatoon 2 and "Jump Up Super Star!" From Super Mario Odyssey

For good measure, the PS4 version of Tatsujin will also have a number of great tunes, including favorites Hatsune Miku, Touhou Project and arcade series as Ridge Racer and Tekken . For good measure, some Disney pieces will also be included in Zootopia and Frozen although it is unclear whether they will be American versions or Japanese versions ongoing in the game. We will find with certainty a little later.

The game also features customization options, as you can dress your drum character in a number of costumes. Switch owners will be delighted with the available Nintendo costumes and characters. I mean, when is the last time you dressed your character as Link of The Legend of Zelda ? Yes, a drum can carry a sword.

It's exciting to see that these games have a chance in the US market – and during the holiday season too! We'll keep you updated on new features and / or songs that will be announced in the coming weeks. In the meantime, welcome back, Taiko ! It's time to refresh my percussion skills.
