EA plans to review the original Command and Conquer games for the 25th anniversary of the series.
The real-time strategy franchise was launched for the first time on PC in 1995. There is still two years left before age 25 – more than enough to get a remastered box.
This news was noted in a Reddit "C & C Update from EA" article written by EA producer Jim Vessella, who said the company was "exploring exciting ideas."

As most of you may know, we recently announced Command & Conquer: Rivals, a mobile game taking place in the Command & Conquer universe. After the revelation of Rivals, we heard you loud and clear: the Command & Conquer community also wants to see the franchise return to PC.
As a C & C fan for over 20 years, I totally agree with that. With that in mind, we've explored some exciting ideas for redesigning classic PC games and have already started the process for the first time to celebrate the 25th anniversary of our society.
We look forward to your feedback to help us influence our current PC thinking and next steps. In the next few weeks, we will talk to fans in different ways.
Let's hope that Vessella's passion for C & C will see this project move in the right direction, and if you are interested in a later visit, you should give your opinion on his Reddit post.
The fact of not having "micro-transactions" has already been strongly solicited, to which the producer replied: "We will not add any." Good news.
Another speaker said that the HUD should be "something close to CnC3 with tabs of production and so on, several building benchmarks would be great with also a rocker for those who do not wish it". Vessella attributed this answer to a gold star – so be sure to get involved if you want your ideas to be taken into account.
