"As most of you may know, we recently announced Command & Conquer: Rivals, a mobile game taking place in the Command & Conquer universe, "said Vessella. "After the revelation of Rivals, we heard you loud and clear: the Command & Conquer community also wants to see the franchise return to PC.

"And as a C & C fan for over 20 years, I totally agree. It is in this spirit that we have explored some exciting ideas regarding the redesign of classic PC games and that we have already taken the lead for our first effort to celebrate the 25th anniversary of our society.

This 25th anniversary will be two years old, but the idea of replaying a modernized General or C & C, or Red Alert 2, is a thought that will keep me warm until then. However, we should not wait so long to have more information about what exactly we will have.

Vessella said in his message that EA "will talk to fans in different ways" over the next few weeks. If they arrive on the PC, these will be the first entries in the series that you can play with a mouse and keyboard, Command & Conquer 4: Tiberian Twilight.
