When Nintendo announced "Super Smash Bros. Ultimate" earlier this year, producer Masahiro Sakurai confirmed that all characters from the previous four franchise games would return for the series' first appearance on the Nintendo Switch. The game will be released on December 7th.
As a result, "Super Smash Bros. Ultimate" has one of the largest groups of all fighting games ever created, reporting more than 60 characters already found and 14 new faces. This represents 76 playable characters from the video game story, ready for the job, plus another to download in early 2019.
If that was not enough, Nintendo recently confirmed that at least five more fighters would be added to "Super Smash Bros." Ultimate "until February 2020.
Those who have already played "Smash" can recognize that some characters have similar moves – like Pit and his evil equivalent, Dark Pit. Nintendo started calling the characters from the copy of "echo fighters", but in the interest of this list, they will be counted as individuals. Similarly, the Pokémon coach controls three different playable Pokémon, and there are three Mii fighters with different fighting styles, so we will count them all individually.
