Epic Games will be facing one of the busiest times of the year in just a few days.
The end date of Fortnite season 5 has been confirmed by the development team, which is also planning to launch the next shortly after.
This is an important task and it will take a lot of effort to make sure that it goes well. It is on the basis of the latest news that Fortnite has nearly 80 million active players.
It was at the last count held in August and it's a number that may have risen since.
WHEN IS FORTNITE SEASON 5 FIN?
Epic Games has confirmed the end of the Fortnite season.
The good news is that there have been no major delays, which means that the end date is still scheduled for the end of September.
There had been fears that Epic Games pushed back the release until early October, giving more time to fans who have not completed their battle passes.
However, this was not announced by the development team, which confirmed that the Fortnite season 5 will end on September 25th.
Time has not been revealed when the challenges of Season 5 will become inactive, but presumably it will be early in the UK.
Epic Games also gives players the opportunity to get the most out of their fight pass in the last few days.
Currently, players can enjoy a huge match bonus, which should last until Monday, leaving plenty of time to unlock these last levels.
When does Season 6 begin?
The beginning of a new season usually includes some sort of big event in the game, possible rumors of destruction of inclined turns and leaks regarding the next theme of the fight pass.
So far, leaks have been thin on the ground and there has not been much guidance on the following theme.
The good news is that we know that Season 6 should begin, a first for Epic Games so soon.
According to the latest news from the studio team, Fortnite Season 6 will begin Thursday, September 27th.
The full announcement reads: "Season 6 is disappearing from the Battle Bus on September 27th.
"Celebrate his arrival and unlock these latest Battle Pass rewards with an additional 400% XP Match all weekend, from now until September 24th at 8:00 am ET (12:00 pm GMT). Slide in the party.
In terms of release time, past season launches can give an idea of the release date of Fortnite season 6.
With Fortnite season 5, the game is offline at 9am to prepare for the deployment of the next Battle Pass.
Express.co.uk expects it to be the same with the release date of Fortnite Season 6.
It should also be noted that Epic Games takes Fortnite servers ahead of the big updates – and a new season is the biggest update possible in Battle Royale.
Thus, it is virtually guaranteed that Fortnite servers will pass before the Battle Pass version of Season 6.
This could mean a long stint on Thursday, maybe for a big part of the day.
Or there could be very few changes apart from new cosmetics and items.
Fortunately, the Epic Games are rather ahead with all their plans, so some sort of roadmap will be shared before the kickoff later this week.
