After updating the new update early this morning, Fortnite Players on Switch noticed that they could no longer record and share clips of their exploits in the game. The functionality was particularly important for players since the Switch version of Fortnite does not support the replay feature of other versions of the game.
This afternoon, Sean Hamilton, one of the community coordinators of the game, posted on the game to explain that this option had been corrected for performance reasons.
"You may have noticed that we've disabled the video capture feature on Nintendo Switch from the v5.40.2 client update," he wrote. Nintendo added the video capture to the Switch last October, and this is the only way for Fortnite players to share their adventures in the game on this platform.
