Ethereal GRIS platform floats on PC and Switch in December

GREY, the next experimental platform game from Nomada Studio, officially released on December 13 on PC and Nintendo Switch.

The title, with breathtaking visuals, tells the story of Gray, "an optimist girl lost in her own world, facing a painful experience of her life." but the real attraction here is its aerial and magnificent aesthetic:

Interestingly, the developer hinted that the game would not fail, offering a "safe, frustrating, or dead" experience and "skill-based optional challenges."

The gameplay will include backtracking. As the story progresses, the eponymous protagonist also evolves, allowing him to "see new ways" in previous levels. On the surface, GREY seeks to align Metroidvania's design principles with discussions of maturity and mental health. Similar to Hellblade: Senua's sacrifice, the project fits into an obscure reality "erased" to discuss mental health.
