Eyebrows were raised at the recent Apple event in Cupertino on September 12th. What, people have asked, no new iPad Pro? It now seems that another special Apple event will take place later this month and we expect a new iPad Pro with the most powerful Apple processor ever built. According to rumors, it will have a striking new design, different connectors and face IDs. And maybe there will be a new MacBook, AirPods 2 and the AirPower USB Charger.

Now, there is more evidence that an iPad Pro is almost there, as MacRumors has revealed.
The registration of new articles from the Chinese Ministry of Industry and Information Technology has allowed to add three numbers, A1876, A1980 and A1993. The first two have already been identified earlier in the year when they were filed with the Eurasian Economic Commission, but the third code is new.

Other numbers were registered with the EEC in July, suggesting more variants, possibly differences in capacity and connectivity options. But the A1993 code is new, suggesting that the release of new mystery devices is imminent.
And there's more
Another item is listed as a Bluetooth device. Well, it's not very specific, but given the context, it's quite likely that it's something that connects wirelessly to the iPad Pro.
Apple iPad 2018 and Apple Pencil.Apple
Since the entry-level iPad now has an Apple Pencil connectivity, this seems like the perfect time to introduce Apple Pencil 2.
The current pen has Bluetooth connectivity, but this may indicate a new pen that does not require you to connect the pen to the tablet to connect it. I mean, it's not such an unflattering way to do it, but I suspect that Apple would jump at the opportunity to improve the pencil.
If the rumors of an event of October 30 (or so) prove true, we have only a few weeks to discover the truth.
