Here's the Motorola One, not to be confused with the Motorola One Power
Back at the end of May, AndroidHeadlines revealed exclusive details on an upcoming Motorola smartphone, the Motorola One Power, In addition to providing the first look at the new phone through an official press release. Since then, more details have come on the Motorola One Power, reconfirming the claims made in the beginning. Now, AndroidHeadlines can confirm more details about Motorola's next plans for its own smartphones 2018
Meet the Motorola One
At first glance, you could be forgiven for Assuming that The picture above shows the Motorola One Power, but this is not the case. As AndroidHeadlines was provided with information from a reliable source that the displayed phone will arrive as Motorola One . In other words, it is a separate handset to the Motorola One Power, although that does not mean that they will be launched separately. What is more important to note is the existence of Motorola One outlines how Motorola plans to unveil at least two phones that will collectively form the Motorola line . Although not being confirmed by the source, it goes without saying that this particular model will be the Motorola One's standard phone for 2018, and this brings us to the first major difference between the two.
Size matters
AndroidHeadlines has been told that Motorola One is a smaller phone compared to the Motorola One Power. At the present time, it is not entirely clear whether it means smaller in terms of display, or smaller in regard to the thickness of the device , or both. It was suggested that the use of the name "Power" would likely result in a model that would put more emphasis on battery life and, although there was no new details on this, it would add to the suggestion that with a lower capacity battery, the standard Motorola One will arrive as a thinner device. This could also mean that more devices will eventually be launched under the name Motorola One by putting emphasis on other key features.
Very similar design with some minor cosmetic differences
Overall, the Motorola One looks a lot like the Motorola One Power. . It has the same front panel (which also includes a notch), as well as a type of edge-to-edge design. Similarly, the back panel is again almost identical to the Motorola One Power, because of the same Motorola logo (which can double as a fingerprint sensor), and a dual rear camera configuration in the upper left corner. However, this does not seem to be exactly the same two-sensor module as the comparison of images highlights that unlike the Motorola One Power (where both cameras and the flash are included in one module), the cameras from the Motorola One are separated. You can take a closer look at the subtle differences between the two models in the picture below:
Left: Motorola One – Right: Motorola One Power
Although this may be just a purely aesthetic difference it can also prove to be more than that. As it could be, the camera configuration is totally different on the Motorola One. Although this is only speculation right now.
Motorola all-in with Android One
When it was revealed, the Motorola One Power was outstanding because it was clear that the company was returning to use the Motorola ] branding for the first time since long time. Unlike the brand "Moto" that has been used in recent years. The upcoming arrival of the Motorola One suggests that the return of the Motorola brand is not a one-off affair. More so, the use of "Motorola One" is not a singular thing, but something that the company is probably looking to build as a new line. One of the reasons for this could be the use of Android One. Like Motorola One Power and Motorola One are phones that run on Google's One operating system. Although this is not confirmed, this confirms the idea that the Motorola One series is designed to be Motorola's Android One range.
Unknown characteristics, but several colors to come
Up to now, little information has been provided available on the Motorola One because of the focus on the Motorola One Power. Similarly, no specific details on the specifications will be provided here. However, recently the specs leaked for the Motorola One Power and it could be a fair guess to make the two phones do not differ much below. If this assumption is correct, then Motorola One Power specifications are a good starting point. On this note, the Motorola One Power should be equipped with a 6.2-inch screen with an aspect ratio of 19: 9 and a resolution of 2280 x 1880. Inside, the Motorola One Power will offer a minimum of 4GB of RAM, 64GB of storage, 5 and 12 megapixel rear cameras, an 8 megapixel front camera and a 3,780 mAh battery. What is clear from the leak today is the Motorola One will arrive in more than one color. There will be, of course, the black model, and AndroidHeadlines has also been provided with additional images that highlight what appears to be a white variant too. It's unclear if these will be the only color options available, and it's also unclear whether the likes of the Motorola One Power will be available in the same extra colors.
