According to downdetector.com, users from the East Coast of the United States, the United Kingdom and Europe report faults on Facebook; More than 4,000 reports were received around 8:00 am Eastern time. #FacebookDown has become a hot topic on Twitter, many Internet users using other social networks to complain about not being able to load Facebook posts, send messages via the Messenger application or see Instagram photos and videos.
According to ABC 15 in Arizona, some users said they received an error message suggesting that Facebook was being serviced.
Facebook also had problems last week, posting broken error messages saying "Sorry, an error has occurred, we are working on it and we will fix it as soon as possible". The blackout lasted about half an hour in the afternoon of Monday, November 12th.
Facebook said later that last week's outage was due to a "routine test".
"Earlier in the day, a routine test prevented users from accessing all of Facebook's services, including WhatsApp and Instagram, and publishing them." We quickly reviewed and restored access for all We are sorry for the inconvenience, "said a spokesman at USA Today.
It is unclear if a similar test is causing the outages reported on Tuesday.
