Fallout 76: beta release date, PvP, benefits, release date and current knowledge

[ad_1]

Just a few years after the release of Fallout 4, Bethesda surprised fans by officially announcing Fallout 76, the next entry in its hugely popular post-apocalyptic RPG franchise. The new game was revealed in a trailer after a series of teasing, and Bethesda discussed it in more detail at E3 2018 and more recently at QuakeCon 2018. Although we do not know yet on the Bethesda game, the company has offered some details on the features and the most curious additions of Fallout 76 to the Fallout formula.

To make sure you're aware of everything you need to know about Fallout 76, we've compiled all the information we have about the game: platforms, online features, mourning features, and game falls in the timeline of the series.

What is Fallout 76?

Fallout 76 is a preface to all previous Fallout games. Located in 2102, you play as an inhabitant of Shelter 76 that comes out of the shelter 25 years after the bombs dropped on America. Your task is simple: explore what remains of post-apocalyptic America and rebuild civilization.

Longtime fans will probably recognize Vault 76; Although this is not a place we visited before, this is not the first mention of the series. Fallout 3 and 4 are both references and, according to Fallout Wikia, this West Virginia vault was occupied by 500 of the brightest minds in America. Unlike the more grotesque experimental vaults of the Fallout Universe, Shelter 76 is a control vault intended to be opened approximately 20 years after a nuclear war. But if the Vault was supposed to open 20 years after the fall of the bombs, why have you spent 25 years? The story probably has some surprises in store.

Fallout 76 uses the build engine, the same engine used to create Fallout 4, but is supposed to have many more graphic details than its predecessor. Game Director Todd Howard said Fallout 76 has a new rendering and lighting technology that allows "16-fold" details.

Who develops it?

Bethesda Game Studios, the Maryland-based developer of the Elder Scrolls series and two Fallout 3s and Fallout 4s, are working on the game. In addition, Bethesda Game Studios Austin – formerly BattleCry Studios – helped fine-tune the creative engine for support multiplayer features.

Is it an online survival game?

Fallout 76 is a game very different from its predecessors. It's "fully online", but do not worry, you can also play solo. According to Bethesda, the idea of adopting this approach to survival in the open world appeared four years ago, when she began working on a multiplayer experience of Fallout. Howard described the game's survival approach as "softcore," which means that death does not equal the loss of progression.

You can form a party with up to three other players. You will not be able to manage your placement in the servers when you log in, because you will be automatically inserted into a session with other users at the start of the game. Of course, you also have the opportunity to join your friends and to play together.

Howard commented that Fallout 76 will have dedicated servers that will support the game "now and for years to come". At launch, there will only be public servers, but Bethesda plans to introduce private servers that will allow players to invite friends to play to prevent unwanted behavior.

Some classic mechanisms of previous games will change to suit the online game. For example, V.A.T.S has been reconfigured to work in real time, while allowing players to target specific parts of the enemy body. But this time, it has been updated to be more of a tool that allows you to detect hazards in the environment.

How big is the world?

According to Howard, the world of Fallout 76 is four times larger than Fallout 4. There are six different regions to explore, each with its own style, risks and rewards. Confirmed areas include West Virginia State Capitol, Greenbrier, Woodburn Circle, New River Gorge Bridge and Camden Park. Each area contains a variety of new creatures to meet, some based on the West Virginian folklore.

What can you do?

Like previous games, players will spend most of their time exploring and completing quests. However, Fallout 76 will not have any human non-player characters, as all surviving humans will be controlled by active players. Instead, the game will use a combination of robot NPCs, collection recordings and environmental storytelling to give players what they need to replenish the quests and the story in general.

Given the game's premise of rebuilding the world, there will be basic building blocks similar to Fallout 4. You'll be able to build bases anywhere using an element called the Construction and Assembly Mobile Platform or CAMP. . These can be placed around the world and allow you to build an impromptu camp. At E3, we saw the player lay the walls and decorate the base with pool tables, toilets and other household items. As indicated by the mobile platform part of the name, your CAMP can also be retrieved and moved, allowing you to move your base around the world.

Although you can help build the world, you can also destroy it. If you have the necessary nuclear launch codes, it is actually possible to access a missile silo to fire a nuclear bomb at any point on the map. This irradiates the chosen area, but also reveals weapons, equipment and rare objects. Beware; Touching an area also causes the emergence of more powerful enemies, making survival more difficult. But do not be discouraged, the CAMP plan system allows players to quickly rebuild their homes, and if they are aware of an incoming threat, they can pack up their belongings and relocate.

As an online experience, the choice of players is considered extremely important, going as far as giving players the freedom to choose who the heroes are and who are the bad guys. The first images featured several players engaged in friendly fights and activities, which seems to indicate that players have the freedom to choose their paths in the world of Fallout 76.

How does the creation and progression of the character work?

You will have character creation tools similar to Fallout 4. However, you are free to change your appearance at any time. In addition, you can also use the game's new photo mode during the creation process to better see what your character looks like and to take pictures that you can share on social media.

The SPECIAL system is coming back and it's a little different. Like the previous games, SPECIAL includes the following stats: Strength, Perception, Stamina, Charisma, Intelligence, Agility, Chance. You have one point to add to these stats each time you level up. When you go out of the safe, the first thing to do is to choose a SPECIAL and choose a benefit in that particular SPECIAL. Essentially, each SPECIAL is a pool of points for your benefits.

But unlike previous games, the advantages are now cards that you can equip and unlock by ranking in a given SPECIAL; However, you are free to exchange cards at any time if you want to modify your build. Each SPECIAL feature you develop has a limit of 15 points. These cards can be upgraded from one to five points to increase their power.

You can get additional Perk cards through the Perk Card Packs (four random cards), which you earn every two levels (1-10), then every 5 after. You can also choose a credit card by level, usually from your choice SPECIAL. There are hundreds of Perks cards that you can unlock, so of course, the SPECIALs rank after a while (you get a ranking in a SPECIAL each time you level up). At level 50, you will not be able to increase the SPECIAL ranks, but you will still get card packs.

How does PvP work?

When you shoot at someone, you do some damage, which can be likened to a light slap to challenge them to a duel. In response to this, the other player may choose to ignore or engage. If they engage in a battle with you, they will begin to suffer all the damage. Whoever is killed in this willing PvP match has the opportunity to take revenge. This gives this person the opportunity to get double the rewards awarded.

If you prefer to choose to ignore a PvP match, there is no way to escape death – despite the small damage you were inflicted during the initiation phases. However, if you are killed by a player in these circumstances, that player becomes a wanted murderer and will not receive any reward for killing you.

A wanted murderer is marked on the map as a red star and a bonus is placed on his head. Players seeking to take advantage of this bonus are not visible on the killer's card. If the murderer is killed, the money from this bonus is taken out of his stock.

In order to give players time to properly acclimate to how Fallout 76 is played, PvP will not be available to players until level five. And if you perish as a result of a PvP encounter, the only thing you lose is the collection you have collected, which can be recovered after death if it is not already detected by d & # 39; other players. You can still store junk mail in caches around the world to protect some of your inventory. Armor and weapons are kept in your inventory after death.

A voice chat?

It is possible to discuss with your teammates and even foreigners that you discover in the world. This is based on the region, so your ability to hear other games varies. But if you do not want anything to do with strangers, it is possible to completely cut the voice.

When is the beta?

The beta version of Fallout 76 will be available exclusively for those who pre-order the game. Bethesda has indicated that it will begin selecting participants from the pre-order pool on Oct. 23 on Xbox One. The plan is to start gradually and increase over time with PS4 and PC on October 30th. For more details, see the Bethesda Fallout 76 FAQ for more details on how to use your code.

Release date

Fallout 76 is under development for PC, PS4 and Xbox One, and is scheduled for release on November 14th. Unfortunately, there is no word on a version of Nintendo Switch, which does not seem to have escaped the demand of Skyrim. release has reached this platform.
