The beta version of Fallout 76 starts today on Xbox One and Bethesda has released a brand new batch of screenshots to mark the coup. These images showcase the beautiful views of West Virginia, although it's a slightly more irradiated version than what you've seen in state touring ads.

To prepare for the launch, the company also sent a letter to its fans thanking them for their support and reminding them that it's a very different kind of Fallout game. He pointed out that the studio was concerned about these worlds and wanted to act accordingly, and that as an online and live game, the launch of Fallout 76 would only be a beginning. The studio is planning a long period of bugfixes and support.

"Given what we are doing with 76, we know we are opening everyone up to all the spectacular new issues that none of us have encountered," Bethesda wrote. "Some of whom we are aware of, such as the areas in which the performance needs to be improved with a lot of players."

The beta comes for the first time on Xbox One. PC and PS4 will follow on October 30th. Pre-order will give you access to the beta, but you may not be able to access it right away. Instead, Bethesda will distribute the codes of the beta version itself, as it invites more players to undergo a stress test. For the same reason, the tests themselves will take place in increments of a few hours at a time to bring the players together.

It is said that the beta is the complete game and that your progress will continue until the full game. The full game will be launched on November 14th.
