Bungie announced that the Halloween-themed Festival of the Lost event will make its debut in Destiny 2 this year. Appearing for the first time in Destiny, Festival of the Lost offers consumables, emotes, Shaders and quests of limited duration.
There has not been much information on what will be included in this year's event. Bungie, in a blog post, wrote that the 2018 Festival of the Lost will be "a celebration of lost heroes and a new challenge, including a disguised party and you're all invited." It ends with a quest for solve a murder. " The event will begin October 16 at 10:00 am, Pacific time / 1:00 pm, Eastern time / 6:00 pm, Paris time. Bungie has not published any other details yet.
In Destiny, Festival of the Lost included a new loot to allow players to win one of the spooky sides of Halloween. Masks, for example, could turn your guardian's head into a skull surrounded by ghostly blue flames. There were also new emotions that allowed your Guardian to shake his arms like he pretended to be a monster, or to scream in the sky like a werewolf. You can even change the appearance of your weapons, ghosts or sparrows with Halloween themed objects.
Destiny 2 has two major updates on the way that bring big changes to the game. The first one begins the Feast of the Lost. The second, scheduled for Oct. 30, increases the boss's respawn rate to kill in order to launch the quest for one of the game's coolest exotic handguns, Malfeasance.
Destiny 2 is available for Xbox One, PS4 and PC.
