Despite the escape of almost everything on Apple's new iPhones, excitement and anticipation at launch are palpable. Apple has not managed to be a trillion dollar company without being the greatest marketing genius on the planet, and the company knows it all well symbolize, from the architectural marvel that is the Steve Jobs Theater within reach from another icon. , the Apple spaceship as the campus, the Apple Park, the elevator and the Apple Store in the vicinity, the presentation style and finish – all this is Apple's signature. While waiting for the show to start, everyone becomes a fan of Apple.
And now, for iPhones .. But to everyone's surprise, CEO Tim Cook starts with the Apple Watch Series 4. Larger but smaller, the two variants of 40mm and 44mm have screens that give the shows a more floating appearance and elegant shape. The information and images reach the curved edges farthest from the screen, integrating more information. Apple claims to have worked hard to integrate the physical form at the interface so that the watch gives the effect of a seamless experience.
The Apple Series Series 4 watch is not limited to its improved appearance and improved technical features. It is now a device capable of taking a mini ECG directly on your wrist. The electrodes placed on the sapphire crystal glass bottom and on the rotating ring can come into contact with the skin of the wearer and measure the activity of the heart rhythm. The results can be shared with health professionals via a PDF file. Cardiac monitoring of the watch can alert the user to very low or high heart rates and detect irregularities, including atrial fibrillation. In such an impressive way, it can detect if a user falls and alert the emergency numbers if the person does not answer within one minute.
Apple executives describe the new watch as a "health guardian" and the American Heart Association and the FDA are indeed convinced enough to give their permission. But, excited when the world is above the device, controversies have already erupted over whether it's a good idea to put a tiny ECG machine in the hands of the masses who might worry about the services of health. These features of the new watch are actually not recommended for people under 22 and those with serious heart problems. It is rather a first level alert. Features will not be immediately available anywhere in the world, so you have plenty of time to see how useful they are or not.
Move for the Max
The lion's share of Apple's special event was occupied by the three launched iPhones whose iPhone XS Max is the largest – in fact, the biggest phone ever launched by the company. At the time of Steve Jobs, we would not have imagined a phone the size of Max from Apple.
The XS Max will certainly please only those who are comfortable with big phones because it is wide and you can feel its weight. Without a case, it is slim and glassy to hold, but with a back case, it takes a little weight for sure. But with this size, you get a vivid 6.5 inch screen with new wallpapers that subtly hide the notch at the front in a black area. It's a brilliant OLED display that, if you will, Apple marketing is a Super Retina display. The notch is as wide as the one you could see on the iPhone X and it houses the True Depth Camera and more, which allows, among other things, to use Face ID, which is definitely faster to use with fewer failures.
The overall design of the XS Max is much the same as that of the iPhone X, because we must not forget that it is an upgrade "S" and not a design revision. In addition to the silver and gray-space colors, a new gold variant adorns the glazed back of the iPhone XS Max. It is reflective and edged with matching edging. Once it's in one case – and you have to – you can forget what it looks like.
The iPhone XS: the smallest twin
The iPhone XS is really identical to the XS Max, with the exception of size and things such as battery reduction for small dimensions such as the 5.8-inch screen. Obviously, it is much easier to hold and acquire more knowledge. If that were not the case, it would be easy enough to mix with the iPhone X because they are exactly the same. But there is a step forward in gentleness, however subtle it may be. All new iPhones now have a 7nm chip. Apple calls A12 Bionic with Neural Engine. The name may be a marketing charge, but it is the market's first chip and is supposed to be fast enough to handle AI tasks and augmented reality applications without wasting time. The creatures in the games run at full speed, throwing objects in front of you without any problem – there is a whole world to explore. The chip also feeds something that we use everyday: photography.
Most people head straight for the camera of a new phone and that's what practically everyone has done in the Apple Demo Zone and beyond. Instantly with the 12MP dual camera system, we can see that the cameras' photos (both using the same camera configuration) are much brighter, detailed and deeper and more separate. There are things in the background that one can not easily reach, like "Smart HDR", which apparently takes many "interframes" and assembles them for a much deeper, shaded and bright image. Although there is no button to control this, you can see improved results even with subtle tones. Portrait mode of the main camera allows the user to control the amount of background blur or "bokeh". When a photo has been successfully captured with depth, then only the depth slider will appear on the screen so that the user can adjust it.
Both phones are now compatible with the dual SIM card, but not in the usual way: one of the SIM cards is actually an eSIM system that will need to be activated with a plan of the cell phone operator. These phones are now rated IP68, which means they can be submerged in 2 meters of water for half an hour.
iPhone XS and XS Max will be available in 64GB, 256GB and 512GB at a price of 99,900 to 109,900 rupees. The iPhone XR, planned to be a popular option, will be available shortly after the XS duo. We will come back with a more detailed overview of the different aspects of iPhones in the next issues.
