Since then, the Outback has become a resounding success for Subaru, while the Volvo Cross Country has played a supporting role in the SUV range of automakers.
Now, though, the time may have come for all-wheel drive and AWD vehicles that run better, are better managed and are more efficient than heavier SUVs with higher centers of gravity. And the beautiful 2019 V60 Cross Country is well placed to take advantage of SUV fatigue.
An antidote to the common SUV
Based on the redesigned V60 Estate, the V60 Cross Country adds a standard all-wheel-drive system, nearly three inches of additional ground clearance for a total of nearly 8.4 inches, an all-terrain driving mode and an all-terrain steering system. descent control.

In line with the automaker's announced plans to electrify all of its vehicles in a few years, the V60 Cross Country will also offer hybrid and plug-in hybrid powertrains. Volvo has not confirmed whether the turbocharged and turbocharged 4-cylinder (T6) of the standard V60 wagon would be available in the cross country.
Volvo is also planning to offer the V60 Cross Country as part of its Care by Volvo program, a subscription ownership approach. For 24 monthly payments, you get the car, insurance and maintenance. You can even upgrade to a new V60 Cross Country after the first year. At the end of the 24-month plan, you return the car to Volvo.
If you prefer a traditional purchase, I guess the base price of the V60 Cross Country in T5 quarters will be around $ 42,500. It's more than the XC60 SUV, but it's the cost of avoiding compliance.
