Foldable Galaxy X could have two separate screens

Samsung has confirmed its intention to work on a new collapsible smartphone, known as Galaxy X. And now, there are some more details about what we can expect from the phone.

The report, previously discovered by SamMobile, suggests that Samsung has opted for a dual-display design and that the second screen will measure 4.6 inches. The main screen inside will measure 7.3 inches, according to the report.

Samsung should have weighed its options with two screens. Having two screens on its next collapsible display would obviously allow for more unique features, but would also give Samsung an edge over single-display designs that do not offer the same amount of screen.

That said, Samsung would worry about some inconvenience. On the one hand, add another screen means significantly increase the cost of the device and, therefore, its price. We do not know if customers will hesitate at a higher price because of the second screen.

In addition, Samsung would be concerned about the impact that the display could have on the charge and battery life.

But that's not just another screen added to the Galaxy X. According to SamMobile, the company has also decided to increase the handset's internal memory to 512 GB. And if you want to use it internationally , the Galaxy X will come with a dual SIM card instead of a single SIM card.

SamMobile also notes that the Galaxy X will come with a hinge that will separate the two screens. However, since they will be a bit bulky, there is a small gap between them, which could also prevent them from breaking if you leave the phone in the right place.

Samsung had previously confirmed working on a collapsible smartphone that will be unveiled at its Samsung developer conference in November. We hope to learn more about the Galaxy X in the coming weeks.
