AMAZON brought back one of its most popular 100 tablets at just £ 59.99.
The high-performance Fire HD 8 tablet is updated until the end of the year.
Amazon probably offers this price reduction as a way to shift some units before the arrival of the new Fire HD 8 2018 tablets.
Still, this does not make this transaction cheaper for last year's model.
This is the lowest price that Amazon has ever sold for this tablet, surpassing the £ 70 price we saw at Christmas last year.
It is also well below the average selling price of £ 89.99, as confirmed by our Amazon price tracking tool.

The Amazon Fire HD 8 tablet is a very impressive list for the price.
You get a big 8-inch screen with a very sharp HD display resolution.
The tablet itself is powered by a 1.3 GHz quad-core processor and comes with 1.5 GB of RAM.
This model is the upgraded version, so you get 32GB of optimized storage space – plenty of space for most users.
There is also a Micro SD card slot, so you can increase storage by 256 GB if you wish.
Amazon Fire or iPad tablet – what should you buy?
Here's what you need to know …
- The big argument of Amazon for the Fire HD tablet is its price
- It costs a lot less than the cheapest iPad, which will cost you £ 319
- The iPad has a sharper display (2048 x 1536 pixels), but the slightly smaller HD screen of the Fire HD 8 is still very attractive
- You also get exactly the same amount of storage
- The Apple iPad can run demanding applications in a more fluid way and offers a greater number of features
- And the operating system of the iPad is much better to use, in the Sun's opinion
- But at about a fifth of the price, the Amazon tablet is probably the best choice for low budget buyers.

Perhaps the most exciting, the Amazon Fire tablet comes with Alexa built-in.
For the ignorant, Alexa is the extremely popular virtual assistant of Amazon – fully controlled by your voice.
You can ask her for news or weather, play games with her, and even use her to order a pizza or arrange a Uber taxi deal.
Other benefits of this Fire tablet include generous 12-hour battery life and access to a large app store with popular content.
You can use the Fire tablet as a media player, Kindle e-reader and, later this year, as a smart Alexa screen.
