Fortnite 6.30 Update adds Dynamite, Wild West LTM; Release notes released

Epic Games has released a new update for Fortnite on PS4, Xbox One, PC, Nintendo Switch, iOS and Android, and is rather large. The 6.30 update adds a new weapon, the Dynamite Stick, as well as a new LTM named Wild West. In addition, the patch adds a new Ghost Pistol weapon for Save the World.

Wild West, as its name suggests, limits the choice of weapons and items to those that can be used by cowboys and cowgirls. This means that you can only use the shotgun, shotgun, double shotgun, six shots and minigun. Dynamite, the new disposable, is usable in mode, except that Epic indicates that it has temporarily disabled the article while it is investigating "an increase in the number of client crashes".

Assuming that Dynamite returns to action soon, it appears as a great new tool. It deals 70 damage to players and 800 to structures, and is only available in an unusual rarity. It can be found in stacks of three: floor booty, chests, vending machines, supply lamas and supply drops.

The last major addition to Update 6.30 is the Ghost Gun, an exclusive Save the World weapon that can fire through structures. Take a look at all the details and more in the release notes below, via Epic.

  • Initiating a throw will trigger a 5-second fuse that can not be canceled.
  • The projection range is shorter than that of standard grenades.

New Tournament: Duos of the Scavenger pop-up cup

• Scavenger game mode settings:
  • Cap of material reduced from 500 to 300.
  • The number of Clingers and Grenades drops dropped from 3 to 5.
• Secure zone changes
  • Reduction of the circle radius 3 from 20,000 to 15,000
  • Reduction of the circle radius 4 from 10,000 to 7,500.
  • Circle 4 is now the first circle partially outside the previous safety zone (that was Circle 5)
  • Increased chances of supply decreases in subsequent circles
  • Circle 9 now travels twice as far, but takes twice as long to close

• The 8-bit demo returns to the weekly magazine.
  • Explosives expert who gathers enemies with Decoy before finishing them with a rain of missiles.
