Fortnite Cube Event: A floating island to make big changes to Halloween? | Game | Entertainment

Players report that the last Fortnite event has taken place and could mean great things for the floating island.

According to those watching Kevin – currently stuck in the floating island – the cube could return to what was once Loot Lake.

The island has been floating on the map for some time now and now seems to have completed its task.

After activating the runes left by the cube, it seems that the final ritual is finished and all the runes have been abandoned.

This can not be assumed, even if fans are still waiting for some kind of major volcanic explosion, possibly as part of a new Halloween 2018 event.

This was suggested towards the end of season 5 and was something that Fortnite players thought would involve the cube.

There is also the fact that the island now seems to consume everything on its surface, including the house.

No matter what Epic Games has in mind for the cube and the island, we could find out very soon.

The development team has just started teasing Fortnitemares, which looks like an extension for Halloween in 2018.

Epic Games has released a new picture of what appears to be a mixture of zombie calamities, as well as the caption: "Costumes and dance, partner, be wise. They could be friendly, or a disguised ghoul.

Would this be a new LTM mode, much like we saw with the High Stakes event? It seems like it could be something Epic Games is referring to.

And as fans have discovered with High Stakes, new challenges and equipment could also be offered.

More teasing could be released later this week as Epic Games gets ready for the Halloween season.

Fortnite has recently released a new update that changes the way games start.

In order to make the action even faster, frenetic and chaotic, the combat bus has been updated in the engine department.

Epic Games announced the news on Twitter, revealing that the battle bus would now travel at a higher speed.

"The battle bus is testing an engine upgrade and now travels 25% faster in flight," reads an Epic tweet. "Do not forget to always fasten your seatbelt and thank your driver!"
