The Fortis Epic developer has provided another update on the status of the delayed Playground mode. The limited-time game mode was originally scheduled to be launched next to Fortnite's 4.5 update last week, but it seems that there are still some problems to be solved before it can be implemented in the live game.

Reddit, Epic explained that his work on the mode is progressing well, but there are still some "data anomalies" that need to be resolved. "We have some system performance goals that we believe are needed to revive the Playground LTM," the developer wrote. "We have continued to work towards these goals over the weekend and our most recent load tests look promising, but there are some anomalies in the data that we still need to understand."

The developer also says that he needs to continue testing to ensure that the Playground mode is in a state that can be released. Specifically, Epic says that he must test how the mode behaves in certain scenarios, such as when the server's capacity has been exhausted, before it can be added to the rotation.

"It's hard to know if we'll have to do anything extra system changes to meet our test goals right now," wrote Epic. "We will not know until the end of the current test phase, which will be completed in a few hours, once this phase is over, we will know more about our position and we will be able to provide a status update. the team is working hard and we will let you know when we have anything else we can share. "

As mentioned earlier, Epic was planning to launch Playground mode with Fortnite Patch 4.5 on Wednesday. latest; However, shortly after the mode was put into service, it was removed from the rotation due to technical issues, and has remained unavailable since then. According to Epic, the mode should be launched this week

Unlike previous Fortnite game modes, the Playground mode is a "low pressure environment" that acts as a private server. Players can freely explore the map and design strategies with their friends in Playground without having to worry about being eliminated by other players.

Fortnite Season 5: Battle Royale is scheduled to begin this month, July 12th. During the season, players began to notice disturbing warning signs in the game, including a countdown that culminated with the launch of a rocket last weekend. The launch resulted in a number of mysterious cracks appearing in the sky over the island, with additional rifts opening on the map in the days that followed.
